From the extensive primary care practices and subspecialty services it offers, to satellite programs in schools, senior centers, and housing projects, BronxCare is delivering health care where and when it is needed. It is now providing one million outpatient visits annually, among the largest for a hospital in New York. The BronxCare Network includes Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center's Primary Care sites, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center Service Network, Mental Health Outpatient programs, and affiliated practices.

The BronxCare Network provides quality medical and dental care to patients of all ages at its convenient locations. Its practices offer treatment for allergies, arthritis, asthma, colds/flu, diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, pain management, prenatal care, and sprains/fractures, in addition to dental and other medical problems. These services are provided by an expert team of general medicine, OB/GYN, pediatric, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), family medicine, mental health, and dental practitioners/hygienists.

BronxCare is continually moving forward. "myBronxCare", a new online service is providing patients with the opportunity to always have confidential access to their information.  Additionally, clinical space at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center was expanded and a new Diaspora initiative is providing the medical and support services needed by the growing West African community. Dental services were also added to the BronxCare at Third Avenue Practice.

Bronx-Lebanon's new nine-story Health and Wellness Center offers expanded and needed space for general and specialty services to the adult population. It is providing 100,000 visits annually, with a focus on internal medicine, including pulmonary, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, neurology, and dermatology, as well as women's health, orthopaedics, surgery and urology. In the Radiology area, X-rays, mammography, and ultra-sonography, and a state-of-the-art MRI are provided. The Health and Wellness Center also includes modern treatment rooms and advanced diagnostic services as well as an auditorium for meetings. "We now have computerized kiosks at our Health and Wellness Center and other outpatient practices, offering patients improved access to services, by making the registration process quick and easy," stated Dr. Isaac Dapkins, Medical Director, Ambulatory Care.

The Health and Wellness Center and the 56,000 square foot Life Recovery Center for individuals suffering from chemical dependency, are enabling Bronx-Lebanon to provide patients with easy access to services, thereby fulfilling its essential role as "Doctor to the Community."
